Everyday Runners
Coaching and Podcast by Andy Fuller
I am a runner, coach and podcaster. I also have a publishing house, Reading Sideways Press.
My role as coach is to support people who want to get more enjoyment out of their running. My key coaching strategy is establishing a strong connection with the athletes that I coach. I listen to their stories about their running and how they want to continue and develop their running.I seek to create a bond with my athletes so that together they can reach their goals.
My training methods are based around low-technology, regular feedback and consistent training. I use sports science and running jargon sparingly. I listen and speak clearly with my athletes. I leave space for my athletes to be creative and explorative. We then create space to let the magic happen.

![It was a pleasure to interview Amina Maatoug for the second time on Everyday Runners podcast; this time after her trip to Tokyo for the World Champs. We also talked about her time in the States. "In the US, some of my team-mates were my biggest competitors but they were also some of my best friends and I think that was something really cool to experience. I was lucky in the States to have a really good female role model for a coach. She [Maurica Powell] has a strong network of other female coaches. And, she was able to show me how athletics is not about pulling other people down [in competition] but about lifting each other up." #leiden #hardlopen #runningpodcast #everydayrunners All photos by @erki67](https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/v/t51.82787-15/562848178_18022640294777165_429006211548205021_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e35_tt6&_nc_cat=108&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=18de74&efg=eyJlZmdfdGFnIjoiQ0FST1VTRUxfSVRFTS5iZXN0X2ltYWdlX3VybGdlbi5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=XBOK4TlxP40Q7kNvwHa8SAy&_nc_oc=Adma9JX66dczFF3auu2fzU-jRuLiRC9YeXmbdsXxsGOt6HoNk0Kf7Hu5sfhnUAO9W0M&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent.cdninstagram.com&edm=ANo9K5cEAAAA&_nc_gid=qh3PjJLYbjTlf0HvfB6HdQ&_nc_tpa=Q5bMBQFpSzclCedNTHiqIhyIlvlajtksDRfCwtV-Tcz4etv6ahbE2ol3nCV6sdFnfSucWZ4y7I_JNIMU&oh=00_Afx-0AQeTPC-5L3IiJTGSAO53G9R3XZ-CS1vFBlq9O-BSQ&oe=69BDDE9E)
